Hans Tanzmeister (born April 8, 1892 in Altaussee ; † November 21, 1955 in Graz ) was an Austrian mining engineer and politician ( home block ). From 1930 to 1933 he was a member of the Federal Council .

Life

After attending school in Altaussee and Salzburg , Tanzmeister studied mining at the Montanistische Hochschule Leoben and graduated in 1919. He joined the Alpine Mining Company and held various management positions in the Köflach mining industry. As a member of the Styrian Homeland Security , he ran on the Home Guard list for the Styrian Landtag and was finally sent by the Landtag to the Federal Council. In August 1932 he resigned from the home block and belonged to the Federal Council as a non-attached member until the homeland security was banned in 1933.

He returned to his professional activity and in 1939 became operations manager of the Bärnbach mine . In 1945 he was removed from service and later lived in Altaussee and Graz.
