Hans Thierauf

Hans Thierauf (born November 21, 1943 in Münchberg ) is a German trade unionist.

Life

Thierauf completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk and studied from 1966 to 1967 at the Academy of Labor in Frankfurt am Main . He then worked full-time in Münchberg for the Textile Clothing Union, of which he had been a member since 1962. From 1972 to 1979 he was managing director of the Bamberg administrative office of the textile clothing union, after which he moved to the district management. From 1982 to 1994 he was district manager of the trade union in Northern Bavaria, from 1995 district manager for Bavaria. In 1998, IG Textil-Clothing was merged into IG Metall , where he took over the office of district secretary of the district management in Bavaria until 2001.

From January 1, 1990 until its dissolution on December 31, 1999, he was a member of the Bavarian Senate . He has been a member of the SPD since 1961 and lived in Memmelsdorf .
