resume

Hans Unnützer was a lawyer . In 1947 he was appointed by the district council to be the first freely elected district administrator in the Traunstein district. In 1952 he stood for re-election against Josef Kiene (SPD) in the district council. Both received 20 votes each in the first and only round. Then the lot had to decide, with useless winning. In 1958, after a change in the electoral law, all district citizens elected the district administrator and the majority opted for Kiene. The hobby beekeeper Unnützer became known nationwide after being voted out of office in the private war against the Traunstein district over his private use of the district office's garden.
