Hans Victor Clausen
Hans Victor Clausen (born January 14, 1861 in Odense , † October 7, 1937 in Copenhagen ) was a Danish historian . The population statistician and geographer published a culturally and geographically acceptable dividing line between the German and Danish parts of the population in the former Duchy of Schleswig in the Prussian province of Schleswig-Holstein . The " Clausen Line " named after him was confirmed in the referendum in Schleswig (1920).
