Hans Wülfing
Hans Wülfing (* 1952 in Oberhausen ) is a German church musician .
Life
Wülfing first received piano and cello lessons before he began playing the organ in Wuppertal at the age of 17. After graduating from high school and doing community service, he studied Protestant church music at the Cologne University of Music with Wolfgang Stockmeier . He completed his studies in 1978 with the A-exam. Since 1978 he has been cantor of the Evangelical Church Community in Bergneustadt . In 1989 he took over the chairmanship of the "Choir Association in the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland". In 2016 he handed over the chairmanship to Brigitte Rauscher . In 1993 he was awarded the title of Church Music Director by the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland for his services . In 2009 he was awarded the Golden Jubilee Medal by the city of Gummersbach . In 2011 he celebrated his 40th anniversary with the company. In his free time, Wülfing is a passionate athlete and completed the Cologne Marathon in 2003 .
