Brigitte Rauscher (* 1961 in Curitiba , Brazil ) is a German church musician .

Life

Brigitte Rauscher was born in Curitiba, Brazil. After studying psychology (diploma) at the Federal University of Paraná and at the music and art college in her hometown in the subjects organ and piano, she completed a postgraduate course in organ with Michael Schneider at the Cologne University of Music and Dance with a final school- leaving examination. In addition, she studied church music at the Robert Schumann University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf , A-exam, choral conducting with Volker Hempfling .

She attended master classes a. a. with Michael Radulescu , Luigi Ferdinando Tagliavini , Guy Bovet and Jon Laukvik in the field of organ interpretation and with Frieder Bernius , Uwe Gronostay , Anders Eby and Eric Ericson in choir direction.

She is cantor of the Protestant parish Troisdorf and district cantor of the church district An Sieg und Rhein, chairwoman of the choir association in the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland eV, and appointed member of the standing committee culture of the German Protestant Church Congress . Since 2017 she has been Vice President of the Choir Association in the Evangelical Church in Germany .

As a lecturer, she is active in training courses (voice training, singing with children, experimental choral music, choral geragogy, organ) in Germany and Brazil.

In 2017 she was accepted by the church leadership of the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland in recognition of her achievements by a. appointed church music director in the field of choral music (children's choir work, choir, experimental choir old voices) . According to the laudation, her engagement in the field of “old voices” should be emphasized: the experimental choir for people aged 70 and over has now also found imitators across the region. Due to her music-pedagogical skills, she was the representative for children's choir work for a few years before she became chairman of the choir association in the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland last year.
