Ulrich Cyganek

Ulrich Cyganek (* 1958 in Essinghausen Kreis Peine ) is a German church musician and editor .

Life

Cyganek graduated from high school in Peine and then studied Protestant church music from 1977 to 1983 at the Hanover University of Music and Drama . During this time he was a part-time church musician at the Martin Luther Church in Peine and director of the Pein Chamber Orchestra. After the A-exam , further organ studies followed with Rose Kirn in Hamburg and participation in various interpretation seminars with Michael Radulescu , Harald Vogel , Jon Laukvik and others.

From 1986 to 2000 he was a full-time church musician at the Markuskirche in Cologne-Porz and director of the Porzer Chamber Orchestra . In 1999 he was appointed church music director .

Since August 2000 he has been the regional church music director of the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland in Düsseldorf . From 2002 to 2011 he was musical director of the Collegium Musicum Ratingen orchestra in Ratingen , and in 2011 he took over the leadership of the Lörick Chamber Orchestra in Meerbusch .

In 2017 he brought the Homberger Abendmusiken into being.

He is the editor of sheet music.
