Rose Kirn

Rose Kirn (* 1941 in Schwäbisch Hall ) is a German organist , church musician and university teacher .

Life

Kirn studied in Stuttgart , in Hamburg with Heinz Wunderlich and in Rome with Fernando Germani . In addition, she supplemented her training by attending international academies . From 1969 to 1985 she was concert organist and cantor at the Protestant St. Georg Church in Hamburg, where she regularly gave organ concerts and performed numerous oratorios and a cappella works. Until 1974 she was also an organ teacher in Bremen . From 1975 to 2000 she was first an organ teacher, later professor for organ playing and piano methodology at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater .

She is an internationally recognized organist in the professional world. Her concert and teaching activities have taken her to various European countries, the USA , Israel , India and Japan . Radio recordings and LP / CD productions document Kirn's rich repertoire such as Rose Kirn (2002), Hans-Henny-Jahnn-Orgel (2002), Himmel in Meran (2002) and Hymn to the Stars (2004).
