Hans Weber (English studies)
Hans Weber (born March 28, 1925 in Hilversum ; † November 12, 2017 in Bonn ) was a German Anglist . From 1974 to 1988 he was professor of English, language and literature didactics at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal .
Since the 1980s, Hans Weber increasingly turned to the field of German as a Foreign Language (DaF). He led advanced training seminars at Goethe Institutes worldwide and taught at American summer schools.
His memoirs were published in 2011 under the title Nachholspiele (Wissenschaftlicher Verlag Trier). He lived with his wife in Bonn.
