Hans Wolfmayr

Hans Wolfmayr (born May 16, 1944 in Feldkirchen an der Donau ) is a former Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and advertising salesman. Wolfmayr was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1990 to 1994 and 1999 .

education and profession

After attending primary school in Aschach an der Donau between 1951 and 1955, Wolfmayr switched to secondary school in Eferding from 1955 to 1959 . After graduating from secondary school, between 1959 and 1962 he completed a commercial apprenticeship at the vocational school in Linz and Waizenkirchen and worked for Konsum Austria , where he rose to branch manager in 1964. In 1964, Wolfmayr also did military service. In addition, he attended the Management School in Linz ( WIFI ) from 1969 to 1970 and became wholesale store manager in Linz in 1973. After Wolfmayr took over the role of managing director of the consumer wholesale market (KGM) in 1982, he worked as area manager from 1988 to 1990 and was a member of the management of Konsum Austria for the Upper Austria region. After leaving parliament, Wolfmayr started working as an advertising clerk in 1995.

politics

Wolfmayr joined the SPÖ in 1968 and was elected to the Hinzenbach municipal council and council in 1979 . In that year he also took over the function of local party chairman and parliamentary group chairman of the SPÖ Hinzenbach and subsequently became a member of the district party committee of the SPÖ Grieskirchen / Eferding in 1985 . Between 1990 and 1995 Wolfmayr also held the function of deputy district chairman. Wolfmayr was active in various associations and founded local groups of children's friends and the settlers' association in Hinzenbach. He represented the SPÖ in the National Council from November 5, 1990 to November 6, 1994 and was a member of the National Council again for a short period from September 7, 1999 to October 28, 1999. After leaving the National Council, Wolfmayr continued to work in local politics and ran for the direct mayor election in Hinzenbach in 2003, where he was defeated by the incumbent mayor. After the election, Wolfmayr was still active as a member of the Hinzenbach community board.
