Hans Zander (composer)
Hans Zander (born February 20, 1905 in Danzig ; † May 5, 1985 in Leverkusen ) was a German composer and violinist . in the field of light music. He also used the pseudonym Hans Graetsch .
He studied violin and piano in Danzig and composition with Hermann Büchel in Berlin . From 1921 he worked as a performing musician in orchestras and ensembles, a. a. in the orchestra of the forest opera . In 1931 he began to publish his works. From 1936 he worked as a freelance composer in Berlin. After 1945 he first moved to Karlsruhe and from there to Cologne in 1953 . From 1957 he lived in Leverkusen - Schlebusch .
He wrote over 250 works for orchestra , harmony and accordion orchestras , as well as choir and chamber music .
