Hans Ziehn

Hans Ziehn (born May 29, 1930 ) is a former German soccer player. In the 1950s he played for KWU Weimar and Motor Jena in the GDR Oberliga , the top division in GDR football .

Athletic career

In 1950 Hans Ziehn and the company sports association (BSG) KWU Weimar became the Thuringian national soccer champion and rose with her to the GDR league . Of the 34 league games of the 1950/51 season, he played 27 encounters in which he scored six goals as a striker. The Weimar team failed to stay up, and Ziehn moved to the GDR league club BSG Motor Jena. With him returned in the 1951/52 season back to the league, where he was involved with 16 of 22 league games and six goals again. In his second league season, Ziehn played 30 of the 32 point games played and scored four goals. Jena was also relegated after a year and then remained in the GDR league for three more seasons. In the first two seasons, Ziehn only missed five point games and increased his goal account to a further nine hits. During the 1954/55 season, the BSG was transferred to the newly established Motor Jena sports club, and from 1956 GDR football was played every calendar year. 1956 succeeded the Jenaern the return to the league, but Ziehn was only used irregularly in eight league games and remained, mainly used in midfield, for the first time without scoring. In 1957, the 27-year-old Ziehn played his last season in high-class football. He was only called up in four league games, and only as a substitute. He can no longer achieve goals. In his career in the Oberliga and GDR league, he had played 132 championship games and scored 25 goals in seven seasons.
