The Hansenbreen (also known as HE Hansenbreen ) is a 24 km long glacier in Queen Maud Land, East Antarctica . In the mountains of Sør Rondane it flows on the west side of the Nile Larsenfjellet .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named it, mapped it in 1946 on the basis of aerial photographs taken during the Lars Christensen Expedition in 1936/37 , as well as in greater detail using the same from the US American Operation Highjump (1946–1947). It is named after the Norwegian cartographer Hans Edvard Hansen (1905–1976), who was involved in mapping this glacier and numerous other objects in the Antarctic.
