Hansepâjuk Gabrielsen

Hans "Hansepâjuk" Karl Isak Anthon Gabrielsen (born November 26, 1925 in Saqqaq ; † 2004 ) was a Greenland accountant and sports official .

Life

Hansepâjuk was the son of the hunter Karl Peter Niels Magnus Gabrielsen (1893-1936) and his wife Sabine Marie Louise Karen Markussen (1895-1932). On June 1, 1957, he married the Danish Hanne Stella Klenz (1936–?).

He lost his parents when he was young and grew up in Qullissat . There he organized the labor movement from 1946 to 1947 at a young age and was able to achieve a 60% wage increase for the mine workers. He received his trade exam in Denmark in 1951 and then began studying economics, taxation and auditing at the Copenhagen School of Commerce and worked at the Copenhagen Audit and Administration Institute. In 1958 he was employed in the Greenland Ministry. From 1960 to 1961 he worked at Price & Waterhouse and then until 1967 at the auditing company CCH von Rosen. From 1967 to 1971 he was a consultant at KNAPK and then until 1979 an accountant at Grønlands Landsråd . With the introduction of the Hjemmestyre he became auditor of the Greenland State Treasury, which he remained until 1990.

Hansepâjuk was also a member of numerous supervisory boards and committees. From 1956 to 1963 he was vice-chairman of the Kalâtdlit association in Copenhagen and from 1958 to 1962 editor of the association newspaper . From 1971 to 1990 he was secretary of several foundations. From 1971 to 1973 he was the treasurer in Grønland's ski association . He headed Grønlands Idrætsforbund from 1973 to 1985 and was also an administrative member of Dansk Idrætsforbund at the same time . From 1974 to 1979 he was a member of the Greenland Information Association and from 1980 to 1988 of the Information Council. He was a board member of Atuagagdliutit from 1968 to 1974, from 1977 to 1985 a member of the board of directors at Grønlands Data Service and from 1987 to 1990 at Kalaallit Nunaata Radioa . From 1987 to 1989 he was treasurer of the Siumut . He was co-editor of Idrætten i Grønland .

In 1979 he received the gold medal from the Dansk Idrætsforbund, was an honorary member of the boxing club Nanok , as well as Grønlands Tæ-Kwondo Forbund and Grønlands Badminton Forbund . On November 30th, 2000 he received the Nersornaat in silver.
