Hansi Arnstaedt
Hansi Arnstaedt , also Hansi Arnstädt or Hanna Arnstädt , born Johanna Arnstädt (* December 8, 1878 in Dresden , † May 8, 1945 in Berlin ), was a German theater and film actress as well as a dancer .
Life
She made her debut in 1898 as a choir singer at the Municipal Theater of Brieg . In 1899 she played at the Lessing Theater in Berlin. Then she got an engagement at the Royal Drama Wiesbaden . There she embodied Nerissa in The Merchant of Venice . She also proved her versatility as a dancer in “Die Hand”. In 1903 she moved to the Royal Theater in Berlin .
Her role subject was that of the lively and naive, later she was seen in character roles . In 1913 she was given the role of the title heroine in Franz Porten's three-part film biography about Queen Luise . After that she did not appear in the film again until 1930. Mostly she was now a supporting actress, sometimes like in 1940 in Lauter Liebe as the mother of Hertha Feiler , she also took on larger tasks. On the day of the German surrender at the end of World War II , she committed suicide in Berlin.
