action

A small advance payment would not be bad, thinks the committed stenographer Margit Raday, but her boss, the factory owner Bruno Plaumann, has no open ear for such things. This is already in his mind on his next business trip, which will take him to Dresden.

He plans to acquire a patent for a revolutionary remote control in Dresden . The deposit of 3000 Mark will bring Margit to the bank. With the money, the young woman sets off and stops in front of the window of a fashion store, whose display she admires. However, due to the captivating view and unforeseen circumstances, it is delayed and only reaches the bank when it is already closed.

Since her boss is already on the way to Dresden, firmly in the belief that the deposit has already been accepted by the bank and is on the way to his business partner Lambach, the loyal and loyal Margit has no choice but to follow her boss to meet him to report in Dresden on the circumstances and to confess their failure.

Arrived in Dresden, learns Margit that her boss one on arrival Autopanne had and will arrive late. Exhausted from the long train ride, she looks for some empty room in the hotel and falls asleep there immediately. She starts up, frightened, because all of a sudden a strange man lies next to her in bed who, as it turns out, is a guest in this hotel room. The stranger is, of all people, Lambach, from whom her boss wants to buy the patent.

The plot comes to a head when suddenly the flash of a camera flashes before Margit can clarify the circumstances that led to this situation, and so the photo documents that Margit and Lambach are in a seemingly unambiguous situation, which makes the overall situation is now completely lost, since Lambach is engaged. Margit, however, wants to somehow save the situation, disguises herself as a maid and thus gets access to the room of the photographer Bobby Brandt. But getting the photo back is far more difficult than Margit imagined. There are various entanglements, but there is also something good about them. Margit gets into a conversation with the inventor Lambach, who takes a liking to the young, lively woman. And so in the end Margit's boss gets the long-awaited patent .
