Herbert Juttke
Herbert Juttke (born February 24, 1897 in London , † May 1952 in Wiesbaden ) was a German screenwriter .
Life
With financial support from his father, Juttke produced Karfiol-Film From Morning to Midnight in 1920 based on a play by Georg Kaiser and his own script. The work turned out to be trend-setting for expressionist cinema .
At the beginning of 1920 he founded the Ilag-Film, which merged with the Imperator-Film in 1921. During this time, Juttke mainly worked as a freelance writer and began writing screenplays on a regular basis in 1926. In collaboration with Georg C. Klaren , he proved to be a prolific screenwriter in a wide variety of genres, including repeatedly in the field of sex education.
After the seizure of power by the Nazis in 1933, he emigrated to France. Until the outbreak of war in 1939 he was involved in several films there as a co-author. After the end of the war, Juttke lived in Wiesbaden.
