Hansjörg Farbmacher (born September 20, 1940 in Innsbruck , † March 14, 1982 in Sistrans ) was an Austrian cross-country skier and biathlete .

At the end of the 1950s, the policeman was added to the extended squad of the Austrian national cross-country team, but also competed in biathlon again and again. Farbmacher's first major event was the 1963 Biathlon World Championship in Seefeld in Tyrol , where he was 20th in the individual and sixth in the relay. At the 1964 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck, in the immediate vicinity of his home town of Sistrans, he took part in both sports. In the biathlon singles he was the best Austrian 28th, in cross-country skiing he was 36th over 30 kilometers and with Günther Rieger , Anton Kogler and Andreas Janc in the relay competition eleventh. Four years later he started again at the Games in Grenoble and was 50 over 30 kilometers in cross-country skiing. At the Biathlon World Championships in 1975 in Antholz , Farbmacher took 57th place in the sprint, was 53rd in the individual and with Ernst Esletzbichler , Manfred Fux and Johann Siegele 16th in the relay race. In 1962, 1963, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1969 and 1970 he became Austrian national champion with the Tyrolean cross-country relay. In 1969 and 1970 his younger brother Klaus also ran in this season . In 1975 he was Austrian national champion in biathlon over 10 kilometers.
