Hansjörg Wachta
Hansjörg Wachta (born February 13, 1940 in Vienna ; † February 21, 2013 there ) was one of the founders and long-time president of the Public Relations Association Austria .
Life
Wachta began his professional career at the Mödlinger Zeitung , followed by 17 years at the daily Kurier , where he mainly worked in sports journalism. Wachta subsequently founded the PR agency Wachta & Partner and, together with Hans-Jörgen Manstein, the specialist magazine Bestseller . In addition to his work as a journalist and PR consultant, Wachta was a lecturer at the Vienna University of Economics for around 28 years and a long-time lecturer at the journalism institute. Wachta was married to his wife Renate for over 30 years and had two sons. He died in February 2013 in Vienna as a result of cancer.
