Hansjürg Zumstein (born September 21, 1957 in Bern ) is a Swiss documentary filmmaker and editor .

Life

Zumstein grew up in Kehrsatz . He did an apprenticeship as a commercial clerk. Then he made up the Matura on the second educational path. He then studied history, constitutional theories and journalism at the University of Bern and at the Sorbonne in Paris. After graduating, Zumstein became an editor at the Berner Zeitung . Since 1989 he has been working as an editor for Swiss television . He worked there for the programs Kassensturz , 10vor10 and Rundschau . Today he works for the Documentaries Department . His films are about political and economic events in Switzerland.
