Hanspeter Christians

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hanspeter Christen (born June 3, 1930 in Zurich ) is a Swiss sculptor and draftsman .

Numerous changes of residence of his parents in his childhood took him to Germany (Württemberg) for a long time, then back to Switzerland, to the cantons of Bern and Thurgau and finally back to Zurich. The then 17-year-old attended the arts and crafts school there.

He then worked primarily as a stone sculptor (but also in other materials) (3–4 years). Trips to Paris, southern France, Spain, Italy, Germany and Holland soon followed. From there the road led to the north, mainly Sweden, where he lived for a long time with his newly founded family.

In addition to his sculptural work, he painted and drew. Many graphics were also created (etchings, lithos, woodcuts, etc.)

He had exhibitions with his works in Zurich, Stockholm, Paris and Ascona, among others . In 1977 he moved with his family to Spreitenbach / AG. For several months of the year he worked and lived again and again on the Baltic coast near Stockholm. The family has lived in Oberrieden on Lake Zurich since 2002 .
