Hanspeter Padrutt

Hanspeter Padrutt (born January 8, 1939 in Zurich ) is a Swiss psychiatrist , psychotherapist and writer . After studying medicine in Vienna and Zurich , he received his doctorate in 1970 with a thesis on the assessment of suicidality . He and his wife run a psychotherapeutic practice in Zurich-Hottingen .

In 1978 he published the Diogenes mini paperback Die Autopest, a pamphlet against "auto-mobility". He continued to deal with the problem of environmental protection in the following two, much more extensive books: In Der epochale Winter , a collection of essays based on Schubert's song cycle Winterreise , after 1986 also in a stage version with songs under the title Flowers in Winter? listed. In 1989 he received the book prize "Reading for the Environment" from the German Environmental Foundation for this volume . In And she doesn't move , the fragments of the pre-Socratic philosopher Parmenides (in his own translation) form the starting point for a longer journey through the history of Western civilization.
