Hanzala Malik
Hanzala Malik (born November 26, 1956 in Glasgow ) is a Scottish politician and member of the Labor Party .
Life
Malik's father is originally from Pakistan and his mother is Scottish. Malik attended Paisley University and graduated with a bachelor's degree . He has been an elected member of the Glasgow City Council since 1995. He is married and is fluent in English, Punjabi and Urdu . Among other things, Malik was responsible for the twinning of Glasgow with the Pakistani city of Lahore .
Political career
In the Scottish parliamentary elections in 2011 , Malik stood as a candidate for the Labor Party list for the electoral region of Glasgow and was one of three Labor candidates on the list in the Scottish Parliament . At the end of the term, Malik left the Scottish Parliament.
