Harald Gärtner (born November 30, 1968 in Gießen ) is a former German soccer player and was Managing Director Sport and Communication at the second division club FC Ingolstadt 04 Fussball GmbH from 2007 to 2019 . 

Career

As an active player, Harald Gärtner played in the 2nd Bundesliga for Fortuna Düsseldorf , SV Meppen and Hannover 96 . In 2001, the midfielder and defender, who played for Eintracht Frankfurt as a youth , moved to Austria in the 1st Bundesliga to Admira Wacker Mödling . He then moved to the Regionalliga Süd for SSV Jahn Regensburg and at the end of his professional career at SV Darmstadt 98 .

After the end of his active career, Harald Gärtner initially worked as an assistant coach at FC St. Pauli and as sports director at Sportfreunde Siegen . At the beginning of the 2007/2008 season, he moved to FC Ingolstadt 04 eV as sports director , with whom he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga straight away.
