Harald Schindler

Harald Schindler (* 1953 ) is a German homeland researcher . He heads the Gebhardt rarity collection in the Villa Austel in Zwönitz .

Life

The graduate engineer for precision measurement technology, who worked at VEB Messgerätewerk Zwönitz, has been concerned with local history and nature conservation in the Zwönitz region since 1977 . So he belonged within the Kulturbund of the GDR to the local group of Zwönitz nature conservationists and the local research group. After the fall of the Wall he became a co-founder of the BUND local group and the Erzgebirgszweigverein Zwönitz. Schindler has been editor of the Zwönitzer Wochenblatt since 1991, and since 2001 director of the museum in the Austelvilla in Niederzwönitz , where the Gebhardt rarities collection compiled by Bruno Gebhardt (1894–1975) is kept and shown. He is the author and co-author of several articles and books on regional history.

He is a member of the cooperative and supervisory board of the housing cooperative Zwönitz eG.
