Harald Schmid (aphorist)

Harald Schmid (born October 22, 1946 in Tittmoning , Upper Bavaria, † January 20, 2020 in Berlin ) was a German aphorist .

Life

Schmid also worked as a welder and geriatric nurse . In 1970 he received a prize in a report competition organized by the working group for literature in the world of work . In 2010, Harald Schmid was the winner of the aphorism competition with 1st prize from the Friends of the German Aphorism Archive eV, Hattingen. The jury praised his contribution "Where many people agree, freedom of expression is in danger" as a "factually effective simple reference to the political necessity of nonconformity" . In addition, Harald Schmid was a small publisher of the Pegasus series in West Berlin between 1976 and 1984 .
