Harald Schwillus

Harald Schwillus (born June 19, 1962 in Würzburg ) is a German Catholic theologian .

Life

Schwillus attended the Friedrich-Koenig-Gymnasium in Würzburg from 1975 to 1982 . From 1982 to 1989 he studied Catholic theology, classical philology , German , pedagogy and educational psychology at the University of Würzburg , Pontificia Universitas Gregoriana and FU Berlin and from 1992 to 1994 philosophy at the TU Berlin . He obtained the following degrees: 1988 diploma in theology, 1989 first state examination for teaching at grammar schools, 1991 doctorate to Dr. theol. in Würzburg , 1992 second state examination for the office of the Academic Council and in 2003 habilitation and venia legendi in religious education and didactics of religious education at the University of Bamberg . From 1996 to 2002 he was a lecturer at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences in Berlin . From 1998 to 2005 he was a lecturer at the Department of Catholic Theology at the Free University of Berlin. From 2000 to 2005 he was a seminar leader at the practical school seminar in Berlin-Lichtenberg . Since 2005 he has been teaching as a university professor at the Martin Luther University in Halle-Wittenberg

His work and research focus are Catholic religious education in the context of his related subjects and in non-religious surroundings, didactics of church history in religious education, museums and exhibitions as places of public communication about religion, belief and theology, religion in the field of tension between culture and spiritual tourism and religious learning in different Contexts.
