Harald Stauch
Harald Stauch (born July 31, 1953 in Saalfeld ) is a German politician and was the data protection officer of the Free State of Thuringia from March 1, 2006 to February 29, 2012 .
The trained chemical technician and graduate engineer was a member of the Thuringian state parliament from 1990 to 2006 . From 1990 to 1994 he was chairman of the constitution and rules of procedure committee; since 1994 he has been the parliamentary managing director of the CDU parliamentary group. After 16 years as a member of parliament, he was elected by the state parliament as the new state data protection officer of the Free State of Thuringia on January 26, 2006, after the state data protection officer Silvia Liebaug could not be re-elected after two terms in office.
