Harald Strätz

Harald Strätz (born July 17, 1951 in Berlin-Neukölln , † June 19, 2013 in Wiesbaden ) was a German writer .

Life

From 1972 to 1974 Harald Strätz trained as a documentary specialist at the university library of the Technical University of Berlin , where he then worked as a documentary specialist. From 1982 to 1990 he worked as a librarian at various Berlin libraries . In addition, he worked as a freelancer for Sender Freie Berlin and Suhrkamp Verlag . From 1991 to 2003 he worked for the foundation in Bonn and from 2006 to 2010 at the Federal Institute for Population Research in Wiesbaden.

In addition to his job, Harald Strätz was active as a writer. He was the author of narrative works and radio features . In 1984 he took part in the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt . In 1986 he received the Alfred Döblin grant .
