Harald Zillikens

Harald Zillikens (born June 4, 1959 in Rheydt - Odenkirchen ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He has been mayor of the North Rhine-Westphalian city ​​of Jüchen since 2009 .

Life

At the Rhein-Kreis Neuss , Harald Zillikens completed an apprenticeship in high-level administration with studies at a university of applied sciences for public administration with a degree in administrative management (FH) . At the Neuss district he was first in the personnel office, then in the organization department with a focus on data processing. Since 1999 he has been head of the electronic data processing department, which is located in Grevenbroich for the Rhine district of Neuss .

Harald Zillikens is the managing director of the DLRG Hochneukirch. He is married and has two daughters.

Mayor's office

In the 2009 mayoral election in the municipality of Jüchen, he won the election in the first ballot with 52.75 percent of the valid votes. He is the successor to Margarete Kranz (CDU), who was no longer available for re-election. In the mayoral election in 2015, Harald Zillikens was re-elected with 68.2 percent of the valid votes. Zillikens has been the mayor of a city since January 1, 2019, as Jüchen was elevated to a city by the state government.
