Harlow Herbert Curtice (born August 15, 1893 in Petrieville , † November 3, 1962 in Flint ) was Managing Director of General Motors and Person of the Year 1955. He grew up in Eaton Rapids and graduated in 1914 from the Ferris Institute .

After moving to Flint in 1914, he began his career at General Motors . He initially worked as an accountant for GM's spark plug manufacturer, AC Spark Plugs, until he was promoted to chief accounting officer at the age of just 21 and finally to the company's position at 36.

In 1948 he became deputy managing director, and only a few years later on February 2, 1953 managing director at General Motors. He retired on August 31, 1958.

During his career he lived in Flint. He was named Person of the Year 1955 by Time magazine .

He died in his hometown at the age of 69.
