The company was founded in October 1937 as a provider of bingo by William F. Harrah. In 2005, Harrah's Entertainment acquired Caesars Entertainment, Inc. On December 19, 2006, Harrah's Entertainment management accepted an offer from Apollo Management and Texas Pacific Group . As of November 23, 2010, the company was called Ceasars Entertainment Corp. around. The company went public in February 2012 .
