Harrisia pomanensis is a species of plant in the genus Harrisia fromthe cactus family (Cactaceae). The specific epithet pomanensis means 'coming from the area of Pomán (Catamasia) Argentina'.

Harrisia pomanensis sometimes grows somewhat shrubby. The more or less upright, sometimes arched or prostrate, blue-green or gray-green, glaucous shoots are almost round and have a diameter of 2 to 4 centimeters. There are four to seven blunt, rounded, not humped ribs . The needle-like, initially reddish to almost white thorns later turn gray with a black tip. The single central spine is 1 to 2 centimeters long. The six to eight radial spines reach a length of up to 1 centimeter.
The flowers reach a length of up to 15 centimeters. The spherical, slightly tuberous red fruits have a few scales.
Distribution, systematics and endangerment
Harrisia pomanensis is found in southern Paraguay , Bolivia and northern Argentina .
It was first described as Cereus pomanensis in 1897 by Frédéric Albert Constantin Weber in Karl Moritz Schumann's Complete Description of Cacti . Nathaniel Lord Britton and Joseph Nelson Rose put the species in the genus Harrisia in 1920 . A nomenclature synonym is Eriocereus pomanensis (FACWeber) A. Berger (1929).

In the Red List of Threatened Species of the IUCN , the species is listed as " Least Concern (LC) ". H. listed as not endangered.
