Harrison Ice Ridge is a ridge made of press ice on the Shirase coast of Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . It lies between the Echelmeyer Ice Stream and the MacAyeal Ice Stream .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named this object in 2003 after the US geophysicist William D. Harrison (* 1936) from the University of Alaska Fairbanks , who studied on the United States Antarctic Program from 1992 to 1993 and 1993 to 1994 Whillans Ice Stream and operated at Siple Dome from 2001 to 2002 .
