Harry E. Brautigam Ortega (born October 29, 1948 in Bluefields , † May 30, 2008 in Tegucigalpa ) was a Nicaraguan economist and most recently bank president.

Harry Brautigam received his PhD from the University of Illinois (USA) after having obtained a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Leeds (UK) and an MBA from the Universidad de Guadalajara (Mexico).

Career

From 1984, Brautigam worked in the field of Latin American financial market development for various recognized financial institutions in the United States , primarily in the areas of corporate finance , capital markets , loan management , trade and international financial organizations.
