Harry Hohmeister
Harry Hohmeister (born April 19, 1964 in Delmenhorst ) is a German manager and has been a member of the Executive Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG since July 2013 . Since January 1, 2020, he has been responsible for the Commercial Passenger Airlines division there. Previously, Hohmeister was responsible for the “Group Airlines, Logistics and IT” and “Hub Management” departments, and from 2009 to 2015 he was Chairman of the Executive Board of the Swiss airline SWISS .
Professional background
After training as an aviation clerk, he joined Lufthansa in 1988. From 1992, in addition to managing flight planning, he accompanied the restructuring of the sales and marketing department. In 1994 he became head of flight planning.
In 1996 he took over the planning of the entire network as Vice President . After this activity, Hohmeister moved to the management of Thomas Cook / Condor in early 2000 . In 2005 he joined Swiss as a member of the management team. On April 24, 2009 Harry Hohmeister was elected to succeed Christoph Franz as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Swiss. On July 1, 2013, he was also appointed to the Executive Board of the Lufthansa Group, where he was in charge of the group airlines and logistics department . On January 1, 2016, Hohmeister handed over the office of CEO to Swiss to take over the “Hub Management” department at Deutsche Lufthansa AG . This included the companies Lufthansa , SWISS and Austrian Airlines . Since January 1, 2020, he has been responsible for the “Commercial Passenger Airlines” board department with all passenger airlines.
Private
In his spare time, Hohmeister flies single-engine machines as a private pilot.
