Harry J. Bong

Harry J. Bong (also Harry Bong , * 1936 in Cologne ; † January 1990 ) was a German actor in theater, film and television. He also worked as a radio play and voice actor .

life and career

Since the early 1960s, Bong has mainly acted as a stage actor, so in 1961 he appeared in the world premiere of Carlheinz Caspari's staged play Originals at the Theater am Dom in Cologne, alongside fellow actors such as Alfred Feussner and Ruth Grahlmann. In 1962 he was seen at the Kammerspiele in Düsseldorf alongside colleagues such as Hans Clarin and Peter Hohberger. In 1966, he impersonated Terry Evans in John McGrath's play Events while Guarding the Bofors Cannon .

From 1961 to 1986, Bong also played various roles on television. Including in the 1970s in Lemmi und die Schmöker and in the 1980s in Lindenstrasse . In addition, he worked as a radio play speaker for numerous productions. As a voice actor on television he lent his voice to the robot Robbi (third robot class) in Armin Maiwald's popular puppet series Robbi, Tobbi and the Fliewatüüt based on the children's book of the same name by Boy Lornsen in 1972 .

Bong was a long-time member of the small theater in Bonn, most recently he played as partner Walter Ullrich in Karl Wittlinger's comedy Rolf Boysen 70 . In January 1990 he died of a heart attack .
