Harry Kupetz

Harry Herbert Kupetz (born November 28, 1909 in Marburg an der Drau , Austria-Hungary , † after 1970) was an Austrian stage and film actor .

Live and act

The son of the senior building officer Maximilian Kupetz studied law at the University of Vienna after graduating from high school and took acting lessons from Karl Forest . Harry Kupetz began his artistic career in 1932 at the Vienna Volkstheater , then he worked as Herbert Kupetz at other venues in the capital, such as the Citizens' Theater and the Raimund Theater . During this time, Harry Kupetz also appeared in front of the camera for the first time. In 1938 Kupetz went to Bavaria and was a member of the ensemble in Ingolstadt , Augsburg and the Munich State Operetta until 1941 . In 1942, Kupetz was drafted and served in the Wehrmacht until 1944 . After being a prisoner of war and being released, Harry Kupetz returned to the stage and played at the Braunauer Stadttheater and in the Linz cabaret Eulenspiegel. Above all, however, Kupetz was active as a radio director and program director for the American occupation station Rot-Weiß-Rot . In the 1950s, Kupetz was also seen with a number of batches in entertainment films. Here he was preferred as a personality in high positions. There has been no sign of life from Harry Herbert Kupetz since the early 1970s.
