Harry Ludewig

Harry Ferdinand Christian Carl Martin Ludewig (born September 3, 1874 in Rostock , † July 9, 1950 in Neustrelitz ) was a German administrative lawyer and civil servant. In 1928 he was Minister of State in Mecklenburg-Strelitz for a short time .

Life

Harry Ludewig, son of the shipbuilder and shipyard owner Otto Ludewig (1826–1901), attended the large city school in Rostock . From 1893 he studied law and political science at the universities of Würzburg , Kiel and Rostock . From 1894 he was a member of the Corps Rhenania Würzburg and since 1895 of the Corps Holsatia .

He did his preparatory service from 1898 to 1903 in Rostock and Parchim . He then worked as a court assessor at the Neustrelitz district court until 1905 and received his doctorate in Rostock in 1904 .

From 1906 he was an unskilled worker in the state government of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, later a government or ministerial assessor. From 1909 to 1919 he was a ministerial advisor, then until 1924 as a secret ministerial advisor and finally until 1934 as a ministerial director. In 1928 he led government affairs in the Free State of Mecklenburg-Strelitz together with Erich Cordua in the Ministry of Officials . In 1929 he was appointed President of the Neustrelitz Regional Administrative Court. After the merger with Mecklenburg-Schwerin , in 1934 he headed the Ministry's processing office in Neustrelitz. The following year she retired.

After the Second World War , he worked in the district office of Stargard in 1945. From 1946 to 1950 he worked as a lawyer and notary.

Harry Ludewig found his final resting place on a family job in Rostock. Michel Wolfgang Ludewig (1912–2005), who, as an exiled Mecklenburg resident, made many contributions to the Mecklenburg tradition and homeland, was his son.
