Peter Hartmeier

Peter Hartmeier (born September 17, 1952 ) is a Swiss communications consultant , publicist and moderator .

Peter Hartmeier started his career as a trainee at the Badener Tagblatt and then moved to Weltwoche as a foreign editor , where he mainly wrote about Germany. He then moved to the Luzerner Neusten Nachrichten as deputy editor-in-chief and journalist .

He took on his first management position as editor-in-chief of the magazine Politik und Wirtschaft , which was merged with the business magazine Bilanz after five years . At Bilanz he was co-editor-in-chief and publisher. He was then appointed managing director of the Swiss Press Publishers' Association (today: Swiss Media Association ). In this function he was responsible for representing the interests of private Swiss media entrepreneurs. At the same time he developed and moderated the Swiss media congresses for the association.

From 2000 to 2010 he worked for Tamedia : first as head of communications, then for seven years as editor-in-chief of the Tages-Anzeiger and one year as publisher and board president of the Thurgauer Zeitung .

From 2010 to 2013 he worked as Head of Corporate Communications for UBS Switzerland.

Peter Hartmeier has been a partner and co-owner of the consulting company Lemongrass Communications AG in Zurich since 2013. As a publicist, he dedicates himself to topics from politics, economics and communication. Since 2015 he has been chairman of the journalism committee of AZ Medien . After its merger in 2018 with the NZZ regional media for joint venture CH Media he has been since 2019 Chairman of the Journalism Committee of CH Media.
