Hartmut Bastian

Hartmut Bastian (born November 13, 1905 in Berlin ; † unknown), known under the pseudonym Claus Eigk , was a German author of non-fiction and SF novels.

Life

Bastian worked from 1920 to 1945 at the Darmstädter und Nationalbank and the Reichsbank . After the Second World War he was a freelance writer. He published several reference works and encyclopedias for the Ullstein publishing house in Berlin .

He also wrote some novels and non-fiction books. Under the pseudonym Claus Eigk, he wrote some science fiction novels, which were primarily technically oriented and in style reminiscent of books by Hans Dominik .

Bastian was married to the writer and screenwriter Vineta Bastian-Klinger .
