Hartmut Schelter (born May 22, 1943 in Zittau ) is a former German sprinter who competed for the GDR .

At the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City , he was fifth in the 4-by-100-meter relay and reached the semi-finals over 100 m .

In 1968 he was GDR champion over 100 m , GDR champion over 200 m and with the team of the ASK Vorwärts Potsdam GDR champion in the 4 x 100 meter relay .
