Hartpost is the name for a type of paper that was developed primarily for lettering by typewriters and initially also nibs , especially for "[...] representative business stationery ". The type of paper is characterized by its good resistance to mechanical damage when writing or erasing , but it has also found its way into almost all economic circles due to the "[...] elegance of its appearance" .

Manufacturing

Hard post paper is “sound hard” and is usually produced with the addition of straw pulp . The type of paper is known with and without watermarks from various manufacturers.

  • Edel-Hartpost Reflex , watermark paper from the paper manufacturer and wholesaler JC Kayser & Giesecke, founded in Hanover in 1885
  • Neusiedler Hartpost , a wood-free, highly bleached matt white natural paper without watermark. A type of paper from the Austrian Neusiedler AG based in Vienna .
