Hartwig Runge

Hartwig Runge (born December 26, 1938 in Gadebusch ) is a German pop singer and composer who became known under the artist name Ingo Graf . As a local politician of the PDS, Runge was a member of the Leipzig City Council from 1994 to 1999 .

biography

Runge is a graduate philosopher and teacher of mathematics and physics. He worked as a mathematics teacher in Leipzig, when he in 1964 by Heinz Quermann in the broadcast palpitations free of GDR television was discovered. The title he composed, Try again with me , was a great success, so that the Amiga record label produced the first single with him. Other successful titles included: Tonight we go through it , even more beautiful than her , A year is a breath , Piroschka , student in a strange city and The Song of Roses and Dreams. With the title Once upon a time there was a girl who was barely 17 years old, he took part in the DEFA cult film Hot Summer . In 1967 he received his own television broadcast. The show in which he sang, moderated and, above all, introduced young artists, was called "Schlager 19 .." and is regarded as the forerunner of the "Schlager Studio". In 1970, when the concept of the show was changed and the show got the character of a hit parade, Ingo Graf got out. From then on he accompanied the Alfons Wonneberg Orchestra as a soloist and made guest appearances in around 30 countries. Ingo Graf ended his career in the mid-1970s and returned to teaching.

In 2001 Ingo Graf celebrated his comeback as a pop singer on the MDR TV program "Wiedersehen macht Freude" .

Runge lives in Leipzig and is married to Monika Runge (Die Linke), a member of the Saxon state parliament .
