Hasan Gerçeker
Hasan Gerçeker (born June 1, 1946 in Ankara ) is a Turkish lawyer . He was President of the Court of Cassation of Turkey from 2008 to 2011 .
Career
Gerçeker completed his law studies at Ankara University in 1970 and then worked as a deputy public prosecutor in Doğubeyazıt , Pazaryeri and Aksaray . He later worked as a deputy attorney general and examining magistrate at the Turkish Military Court of Cassation .
On January 20, 1995, he was elected a member of the Court of Cassation and, in 2002, the presiding judge of the 9th Criminal Senate. There he was confirmed in office in 2006 and elected President of the Court of Cassation on February 6, 2008.
