Hasan Makic

Hasan Makić (born February 23, 1955 in the village of Bag in the Bužim municipality ) is an Islamic figure in Bosnia and Herzegovina . He has been the Mufti of Bihać since the muftiate was founded in 1993 and as such a member of the Mufti Council of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina .

He first attended elementary school in Bužim and then enrolled at Gazi-Husrev-bey-Medresa in Sarajevo , graduating in 1975. In 1982 he graduated from the Faculty of Theology ( uṣūl ad-dīn ) of the Islamic University of Muhammad b. Saud in Riyadh , Saudi Arabia .

He has written many writings on hadith and fiqh and worked on the translation and commentary on the hadith collection of Bukhari (Sarajevo: El-Kalema, 1990).

He was one of the signatories of the Amman Message ( Amman Message ) and one of the signatories to the Common Word initiative .
