The Hasanlar Dam ( Turkish Hasanlar Barajı ) is a dam on the Küçük Melen Çayı River in the Düzce Province in northern Turkey .
The Hasanlar Dam is located in the western Pontic Mountains 12 km northeast of the provincial capital Düzce . It was built in the years 1965–1972 with the purpose of irrigation of an area of 13,000 ha, energy generation and flood protection . The barrier structure is a 70.8 m (above the valley floor) high stone embankment dam with a clay core . The dam volume is 1,651,000 m³. The reservoir covers an area of 4.25 km² with normal damming. The storage space is 53 million m³. The associated hydropower plant has an installed capacity of 9.4 MW . The standard work capacity is 40 GWh per year.
