Hasenberg Bridge

The Hasenbergbrücke is a road bridge in the Hamburg district of Ohlsdorf . It is named after the street Am Hasenberge , which crosses the Alster with it .

The Hasenbergbrücke was built in 1913 according to a design by Fritz Schumacher and is listed with the number 23314 in the list of monuments of the Hamburg cultural authority .

The Hasenbergbrücke is located directly below the then newly built Fuhlsbütteler lock and forms an ensemble with it, the Ohlsdorf family baths , the discharge and loading area and the surrounding park. In 1999 and 2000 the bridge was replaced with a new building that corresponds to the historical model. The 32.55 m long bridge bears the bridge number 242 and the structure number 2326 093.

The Hasenberg Bridge marks the northern limit of the scope of the Hamburg Harbor Traffic and Shipping Act (of July 3, 1979). Therefore, the skippers of the Alsterdampfer jokingly draw the passengers' attention to the fact that they are now in the northernmost area of the port of Hamburg .
