Hasenscheisse is a German band from Berlin / Potsdam .

history

Hasenscheisse was founded in the mid-1990s by Matthias "Matze" Mengert and Christian "Chrischi" Näthe. The name of the band allegedly comes from the fact that a friend of the comedy duo noticed before a performance that took place in front of a big top that the two of them were "completely in bunny shit!" Since the duo didn't have a name before the aforementioned appearance, the name "Hasenscheisse" was chosen without further ado.

Hasenscheisse only made occasional appearances in the years after it was founded . In 2007 the first album For a Handful of Köttel was released , which was a surprise success for the band. In 2008 André "Gigi" Giese joined the band on bass and Sascha "Laschi" Lasch on drums. With this enlargement the focus of the band shifted according to Näthe "a little more from the lyrics to the music". In 2009 the second album was released, For a few more Köttel . Stephan Fuchs has been strengthening the band with his accordion since 2011. The current album in A minor was released on April 20, 2012 .

style

Hasenscheisse mainly plays acoustic pieces with humorous lyrics. They describe their musical style as acoustic-guitar-trash ballads.

Well-known titles

Probably the best-known title of the band is Bernd am Grill , which appeared on For a handful of Köttel . By spreading the title on the Internet and in video portals, it achieved a certain level of awareness. The title was also played on various radio stations. In 2010 the folk music group De Randfichten covered the song.
