Hassan Ahmed Younis

Hassan Ahmed Younis ( Arabic حسن أحمد يونس, DMG Ḥasan Aḥmad Yūnis ; * February 21, 1943 in al-Mansura ) is an Egyptian politician .

Life

Hassan Younes since 1962 Bachelor of Science, since 1965 Master of Science, and in 1985 a doctorate in the field of combustion engines at the Ain Shams University in Cairo doctorate .

From 1969 to 1972 he was employed as a system administrator , from 1972 to 1975 he was employed as a programmer . From 1975 to 1978 he managed the construction and operation of the thermal power plants in Egypt. And from 1979 to 1982 he finally represented the Egyptian Electricity Authority in the United States of America, whose tasks were subsequently taken over by the Egypt Commissions National Energy Control Center .

From 1983 to 1988 he was Managing Director of the Egyptian Electricity Supply, and from 1988 to 1992 he was Inspector General of the Egyptian Energy Inspectorate.

From March to November 2001 he was chairman of the Electricity Holding Company to which the operative part of the Egyptian electricity company had been privatized. He worked in the university sector and at numerous conferences on energy policy in the Mediterranean region.

On November 22, 2001, he was appointed by Husni Mubarak to the Abaid Cabinet as Minister of Electrical Energy; an office that he also held in the Nazif , Shafik and Sharaf cabinets and held until the replacement of the Second El-Ganzuri Cabinet by its successor government.

He is married and has three sons.
